COM-304 | Communications Project

Credits: 8  |  Program: Bachelor  |  Semester: Spring  |  Language: English  |  Instructors: Haitham Hassanieh & Amir Zamir

This course focuses on the development of systems that address real-world challenges in communications, signal processing, foundation models, robotics, and AI. Students will gain hands-on experience by working in teams to design and implement their own hardware or software projects, using provided platforms or custom-built systems. The course begins with introductory lectures covering relevant research areas such as wireless radar sensing, computer vision, communication, and foundational models in AI. During this phase, students will study background material and become familiar with the available hardware and sensor platforms. Following this, students will form teams of 3–4 members and, with the support of course staff, propose their own project that tackles a real-world problem using one or more of the provided platforms. The remainder of the course will be dedicated to project development, culminating in the design and demonstration of a fully functional prototype.
